Loïc Larrieu, riding in the EnduroGP class, looks to make up the 40-point gap between him and current leader Steve Holcombe on German soil. Larrieu, having taken a few weeks off to recover for the final round, is looking strong on his Yamaha WR450F.
“Steve [Holcombe] has been really strong and consistent this season and it’s been a pleasure battling with him for the championship. I feel that we took our riding to a whole new level and that has been extremely beneficiary for me.”
Jamie McCanney, with a 13-point gap behind Factory Racing KTM’s Josep Garcia, has reached the podium 11 times this season and looks to capitalise on this consistency for the final round in the Enduro 2 class.
“The goal is to go out there and battle for the victory on both days. My speed is good at the moment and I feel comfortable with the terrain and special tests here in Germany.”
The final round will return to a traditional Enduro race format, with a Super Test on Friday afternoon followed by two days of racing. The 65km loop begins in the heart of Zschopau at Wildeck Castle, an old hunting lodge, followed by a series of tests in the surrounding villages of Börnichen, Steinbruch and ending in Venusberg.
ABC communication will provide a Facebook live-stream of the Akaprovik Super Test on Friday afternoon, commencing at 5PM with the German Championship and 7PM with the EnduroGP.
