Motorcycling Victoria (MV) is very pleased to announce the first ever Training & Selection Camp for the Australian 4-Day Enduro (A4DE), due to take place in November in Mansfield.
MV will run a two-day intense training and selection camp in August for riders who want to be in with a chance to be selected to represent Victoria at the A4DE.
“It’s great to see Victoria on the front foot again with this type of training/selection camp,” Chris Gray said.
“The riders will not only get some great skills from some top coaches but they are also on the-line to get a spot on the Victorian A4DE team!”
The Camp, which is due to take place on August 6-7 at the State Motorcycle Sport Complex at Broadford, and has MV’s newly-titled Sport & Rider Development Manager Mark Vallance very excited.
“I’m extremely excited to announce this Camp. It will give every enduro rider the chance to show off their skills in the hope of being selected to represent Victoria in November,” Mark said.
“The riders will be able to provide information on themselves that I will put into a portfolio for all the coaches in attendance, so not only will the coaches be watching the riders as they’re put through their paces but they will also have information about each rider at the ready.”
Stephen Mion of FitMoto and Dylan Rees of DR Off-Road have already been signed up to help Chris and Mark throughout the two days.
Stephen says it’s great to be involved with MV once again: “Myself and FitMoto are more than happy to jump in and help Motorcycling Victoria put the riders through their paces during this weekend. One of our main aims will be to show each rider how to survive the gruelling effort it takes to back up day after day.”
Stephen, Dylan and Chris will be part of the still-growing team that will lead the riders through tough sessions based around fitness, time trials, endurance, log sections, rock sections and much more.
“The A4DE has been the ultimate off-road event for many years now and it always pushes the rider and bike to the limit. This Camp will not only see what riders are ready now but will also help every rider with various aspects of their racing,” Chris said.
More information will be released in the lead up to the weekend in August.
