The latest update from Feld stated “the championship is now scheduled to complete rounds 11-17 later this year. The race locations and dates have not been finalized”. Prater explains in the video below there are many factors that need to be considered before AMA Supercross rounds can be rescheduled but the biggest challenge is the uncertainty around when things will go back to normal.

According to Prater, Feld is working on three or four different scenarios to get the seven rounds of supercross in before the end of the year. “The goal is to finish the season and race rounds 11 through 17 before the end of 2020. That is our goal, that’s what we are planning for and that’s what we are working towards.” Prater also explains all OEM’s and teams are on board with finishing the season and want to do everything possible to race out the remaining rounds.

Feld has also had discussions with MX Sports about delaying the start of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship. That resulted in the outdoors season being pushed back to 13 June in the hope of giving Feld enough time to finish the seven rounds of supercross before outdoors but that is no longer looking possible.
