But with Coronavirus safety measures forcing pubs around the country to shut their doors or serve takeaway only, there might not be a pub to visit once this Coronavirus pisses off. However, there is a way you can help out right now and it benefits everyone!
Carlton & United Breweries (CUB) in partnership with Australian Hotels Association (AHA) has launched For The Love Of Your Local, a campaign to help save pubs around Australia.
CUB will match your beer purchase with a free beer once your local pub reopens, meaning you get 2 for 1 beer!
Head to www.loveofyourlocal.com.au and nominate your local pub and buy a pint of beer via the website. The cash goes to the venue immediately and when they reopen their doors you’ll be emailed a voucher to exchange for two pints!
CUB has offered to donate up to $1 million worth of kegs to venues but this could increase if required.
This campaign will run until midnight AEST October 6th 2020 or until our $1m worth of beer donation target has been met.
