The 2023 FOX Australian Supercross Championship is shaping up to be one of the most star-studded in its 40-year history. Championship promoters, AME Group, announced today some of the biggest names in the sport will line up when the gate drops in Newcastle, NSW on November 11.

Tickets are now available via www.ticketmaster.com.

Scottish sensation Dean Wilson will make his AUSX Championship debut on the Boost Mobile Honda Racing Team.

“I am really excited to see parts of Australia I have never seen and race for an Australian Supercross Championship. Brayton has achieved some amazing success down under and one of my goals is to win an Australian Supercross Championship.  It’s held with high regard around the world”

Also representing the Boost Mobile Honda Racing Team is defending SX2 Australian Champion and FIM World Championship runner-up, Max Anstie. Hailing from Winchester, England, Anstie is coming off a career-best third in the AMA 250cc West Championship in the USA, having had a breakout win in East Rutherford New Jersey a month ago.

“I had a blast in Australia last year and was so stoked to be able to win the championship for Honda, Yarrive and our team. This year has been the best of my career and I’m looking forward to bringing that momentum back to Newcastle, Melbourne and Adelaide this year. I know the competition is going to be tough, but I’ll be ready for the challenge.”

Following a 2-year, Covid-induced hiatus, the Fox Australian Supercross Championship returns for 2023 across three iconic locations. McDonald Jones Stadium in Newcastle (November 11), Marvel Stadium in Melbourne (November 24) and Wayville Showground in Adelaide (December 2). Championship Managing Director, Kelly Bailey, said, the confirmation of international stars such as Wilson and Anstie was a testament to the credibility of the series and a genuine desire for some of the world’s best, to compete in Australia.

“It’s fantastic to see riders of the calibre of Dean (Wilson) and Max (Anstie) racing in this year’s Fox Australian Supercross Championship we hope to attract more international riders. Wilson will have his work cut out in the 450 class and many young riders will be gunning for Max’s number 1 plate. Today’s announcement is just the beginning of what we expect to be an incredibly exciting year of racing.” Bailey said.

Last year’s championship event in McDonald Jones Stadium, had one of the largest attendances in the championship’s history, with over 20,000 in attendance. With an even more competitive, international rider line up and an even greater family-friendly entertainment spectacle promised for 2023, fans are urged to purchase their tickets early to avoid disappointment.
