In a Facebook message to his fans, the 2016 Australian Off-Road Champion said;
So this year I’m not racing the Australian Championship as some people may know already. I’m going to be racing the World Enduro Championship, I will be based in Italy and chasing that world championship for 2 years with the KTM FACTORY RACE TEAM.
I’m stoked to stay with KTM and race for their factory team, they have been behind me my whole career. It’s awesome to race for a team you’ve looked up to since a kid and only dream of it happening. Unfortunately, I’m leaving friends and family behind and also some awesome sponsors who have helped me get to where I am.
I’m looking forward to this new experience and take on the world. Time to make it happen! I’ll try and catch up with as many people as I can before I go I’ll be back home in October for summer when the seasons finished. Let the journey begin.
The 2017 Maxxis FIM EnduroGP World Championship gets underway March 25 in Finland for Round 1. The championship visits eight other destinations before wrapping up October 22 in Germany.
