The Australian Off-Road Championship (AORC) roared into Roma, QLD, for the opening two rounds of the 2024 season. Amidst the fierce competition featuring over 250 riders, Motul Pirelli Sherco Team rider Jonte Reynders commenced his 2024 AORC campaign with a pair of podium finishes in the E2 category.
In the inaugural round, Reynders demonstrated his mettle, clinching a commendable second-place finish behind the returning Daniel Milner with a total time of 52:37.833.
Round two witnessed Reynders continuing his impressive form, securing yet another second-place finish with a total time of 49:33.394. Despite facing stiff competition from the likes of Milner and other top riders, Reynders put down strong times and rode with composure, earning crucial points in the championship standings.
Reflecting on his performance, Reynders expressed his determination to build upon the positives and strive for further success in the upcoming rounds. He focuses on narrowing the gap and ultimately claiming the top spot on the podium.
“I made a few mistakes and didn’t really feel like I got the best out of myself this weekend. Overall, we have a lot of positives to take away. Last year, I started the season with 4-3 finishes, so to go 2-2 this year is a solid start! We’ll continue to build and look to go one better at Mount Misery,” said Jonte Reynders.
Rounds three and four of the 2024 AORC will be held in Mount Misery, Victoria, on April 20-21.
