For 2017, the route will start in the iconic Blue Mountains before heading up into the Central West and New England regions, before hitting the Upper Hunter Valley and returning to the Blue Mountains.
A diverse and exciting route awaits riders, with classic Australian overnight destinations full of character.
Designed with the V-TWIN KTM Adventure range in mind, as well as the variety of rider abilities, the route will include a mix of twisty bitumen sealed roads, gravel roads and forest tracks, all surrounded by spectacular scenery.
As per the first KTM Australia Adventure Rallye, the ride will feature Breakout Routes each day, presenting challenges for even the most hardened adventure riders. Based on feedback from the 2016 KTM Rallye, we know riders liked the mix of tracks and terrain, so expect more of the same. The Rallye is tailored to suit all rider abilities, from first year Adventurers up to seasoned Adventure pros.
Open to Orange Adventure Riders with the following eligible bikes: 640, 690, 950, 990, 1050, 1190, 1190R & 1290SA models. Riders must also have knobby tyres and a minimum 250km fuel range.
The $895.00 Rallye fee includes five days adventure riding, including GPS files, lead riders and course markers, tyre, medic and tech support, a backup vehicle and sweep riders, dinner included every night, a KTM goody bag, an event DVD featuring all the Rallye highlights, an event photographer grabbing snaps of riders along the way and the chance to ride with KTM riders and special guests!
“We are very excited to announce our second annual KTM Adventure Rallye,” says Jeff Leisk, KTM Australia General Manager.
“The response from KTM adventure riders after our first event in March was overwhelming. Everyone it seemed – myself included – had such a fantastic week! The aim of this event is to give an outstanding adventure experience to our KTM customers and I for one just can’t wait for this next one to start.”
Along with the release of the 2017 KTM Rallye, KTM Australia has also announced the return of the KTM Adventure Training Series.
The three-part series will be held in January / February 2017 and offer riders the unique experience of 2-days adventure training with the specialist coaching duo of Chris Birch and Nick Selleck.
Registrations for both the 2017 KTM Australia Adventure Rallye and the KTM Adventure Training Series will open mid-October 2016.
