The reworked 2023 KTM 890 Adventure R features a host of aesthetic and technical upgrades for greater rally-inspired performance. The bike was launched at the 2022 KTM Adventure Rider Rally in the diverse landscape of the western Idaho mountains, USA.
SHOCKED
The WP suspension package on the KTM 890 Adventure R is fully adjustable and had been re-tuned to reduce rider fatigue on long stages. The bodywork has been redesigned with a new fairing, fuel tank, and cowling, for improved aerodynamics and ergonomics, along with a lower windshield, high front fender and engine protector, for more technical terrain.
IT DEPARTMENT
The new 5” TFT display features a completely new, easy-to-navigate menu and is equipped with USB-C connecters and a turn-by-turn plus navigation system that allows the rider to select a previous destination. A new call-out function also allows a favourites call option, with up to 10 saved or recently called numbers.
KTM has also included the next generation ABS control unit that takes angle, pitch and speed into account to assist braking forces in certain situations. OFFROAD ABS is integrated within OFFROAD MODE, or the optional RALLY MODE, removing the need to activate OFFROAD ABS separately.
The 2023 KTM 890 Adventure R will allow access to all tech specs and options for the first 1,500 kilometres in DEMO MODE, before the rider decides which pack or features are more suited to their requirements.
