The ten round championship is set to make its way to New South Wales in just a few day’s time, and with Motorcycling NSW making significant upgrades to their venue, and Shoalhaven City Council continuing to recognise the benefit a round of the series has on the local economy as well as the sport in the region, Sunday July 3 is set to go off with a bang.

With the Motul MX Nationals injecting upwards of a quarter of a million dollars into rural and regional economies over a single weekend, the Nowra region is set to benefit, and Shoalhaven City Council is looking forward to hosting the event.

“Last year’s event was a huge success, and Council is extremely excited to be able to bring this prestigious event to the Shoalhaven once again,” said Mayor Joanna Gash.

“The 2016 Motul MX Nationals will provide local residents with the opportunity to witness the nation’s most talented motocross riders competing on a high quality and challenging course.”

“Council is looking forward to welcoming the hundreds of competitors, officials and supporters associated with the Motul MX Nationals to the area in what will be a huge boost for our local economy.”

For Motul MX Nationals series promoter Kevin Williams, the chance to take the championship back to Nowra is a welcome opportunity, and has praised council members for throwing their support behind the series for the second consecutive year.

“Last year we had a fantastic event with the support of the council at the Nowra Motoplex, so we are very much looking forward to heading back for round six this weekend,” Williams shared.

“As well as the council’s support, we will also be involving the Navy in Nowra, with round six also marking our official Military appreciation round.

“The Motoplex at Nowra has undergone some great improvements since we last visited, and we’re pleased to be working with both Motorcycling New South Wales and Shoalhaven City Council to deliver a great event.

“We would like to thank the council for supporting the series once again, and we look forward to showcasing our sport to the wider Nowra community on Sunday.
