He is one of the most accomplished and talented extreme enduro riders in the world, but KTM’s Taddy Blazusiak won’t be scaling mountains of hopping up rocks anything soon with the Polish rider announcing he has severely damaged his thumb.
In a social media post, the multi-time X-Games Gold medalist and six-time FIM SuperEnduro World Champion told his fans: “Been quiet for few days this is why. Broke and cut a good piece of my thumb off, surgery done, luck definitely not on my side the last couple months. Shout out to Dr. Mir’s team and #RicardHuelamo for helping out, will try to be at the gate in Argentina @superenduro_maxxis in 2,5 weeks #NotOverTillitsOver #tb111”
The exact cause of the injury is still to be confirmed, but comes just over two and a half weeks out from the Argentinian round of the FIM SuperEnduro World Championship where Blazusiak is currently fourth in the championship points standings and is attempting to defend his 2014/2015 title.
